Alleged Kidnapper Held in Red Bank Hearing

Salvatore Gallato remained in custody after a hearing before Recorder James H. Sickles on a $10,000 bond. He is linked to the Mamie Petillo kidnapping case and was arrested at the Petillo home on Leonard Street. The hearing occurred at the Town Hall with family members present and County Detective Minugh and Chief Patterson aiding the investigation.

Horse Caught in Trestle Halts trolley tracks rescue

A horse attached to a delivery wagon from Zimmerman's Casino ran onto trolley tracks at Union Avenue near Rockwell. It climbed a trestle and was freed by New York Telephone Company workers using a block and tackle before being taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
