Burglar Invades Field Home For $25 Pocket Grab

One of a string of riverbank robberies, a burglar entered the Field residence, pocketed $25, and escaped. In the same spree, several homes in the vicinity were hit and a couple sustained injuries during the break in. Police urged residents to report suspicious activity and offered no further leads at this time.

Intruder Purloins $25 From Dr Field Home

A lone burglar entered Dr. Edwin Field's Red Bank home on West Front Street around 3:80 am and stole $25 from his trousers pocket. Mrs Field awoke to a man in her room, shouted, and the intruder fled after the doctor rushed from the next room. Police search ongoing. clothes, money, and a pocket book were disturbed though checks were left.

Garden Party Honors Queen of the Dolls at Howland Lawn fete

Edith Howland hosted a midsummer carnival lawn fete at Morford Avenue to honor the queen of the dolls. Queen Edwina and King Gordon presided as children played games, wound the May pole, and enjoyed a large outdoor feast with decorations and ample refreshments.

Live Wire Fatality at Morgan Exacts Immediate Death

Laborer John Web​er of Matawan perished instantly at Morgan when his excavation under a Jersey Central pole caused it to fall and contact a live wire. Moisson Monoplane Race To Washington Flight Records

An eighty horsepower Moissant monoplane piloted by C Mervin Wood of Kansas City Nebraska will race a ten car Pennsylvania train to Washington D C and back. Wood starts from Garden City Long Island field at 4 30 tomorrow morning aiming to meet the train at Elizabeth New Jersey. The train cars tops will be painted white to aid direction at 5000 feet. The race seeks American distance duration speed and longest flight from sunrise to sunset.

Kidnapping scare ends as car parties held by police

Excitement gripped Asbury Park when Josephine Dennie eighteen and her mother Mrs Jennie Dennie New York with two daughters aged seventeen and fourteen were pursued after a Ford automobile abducted Josephine on a trolley ride. Governors Day Program Planned for City Carnival Parade

A crowded City Hall meeting outlined a full Governor's Day program for the carnival.
