Colored damsels hold up artists at shore resorts

A gang of colored girls robs along the shore, with two arrests after midnight by Patrolmen Dodd and Swanson. A French waiter at Hollywood Hotel was relieved of change near Avery place, leading to a chase to Cottage place and capture. Two suspects identified as the same duo who earlier knocked a man down on Chelsea avenue amid reports of disguises and varied operations.

Ex Senator Murphy dies at Ocean Avenue home

Former United States Senator Ed ward Murphy Jr of Troy New York died at his summer home on Ocean Avenue early today after an abdominal gland operation. He was 76 and leaves a widow and eight children. Funeral services will be held Saturday at St Michael's Church Takannsee Lake with private interment.

Lawn sociable for Trinity Church in Red Bank

A lawn sociable hosted by the ladies of Trinity Episcopal Church Red Bank will be held next Tuesday afternoon and night on the lawn of Justice Badeau on Hast Front street. Auto Run Down at Brighton Avenue

A Pierce Arrow touring car owned by Arthur Lehman a summer resident of South Elberon was struck at the Brighton Avenue crossing shortly before noon by a freight engine of the New York and Long Island Railroad. The car had no occupants besides the chauffeur who did not see the engine and said he received no warning. The impact demolished the front wheels and the machine was moved to the Columbia garage.

A city committee reviewed entry cards for the Business Men's Pageant. Many merchants promised floats though some failed to return blanks. Mr. Kaney Buried in Middletown Township Funeral

Bernard Kaney’s funeral was held at Red Bank with interment at Mount Olivet cemetery Middletown township. He worked on the New York Telephone Company building and died awaiting a trolley car, reportedly from apoplexy. He was unmarried and survived by brothers James Kaney of Sea Bright and John Kaney of Oceanic.

Fire Destroys Ocean Park Pony Tent
