Postmaster Wardell dies suddenly in his office
Daniel W. Wardell postmaster at West End and partner in Wardell Burke died suddenly yesterday in his Brighton avenue office after leaving home for the post. He was found on the floor with a bruised nose and is believed to have suffered an acute indigestion attack. He was 40, born Long Branch February 21 1872, a Lafayette College engineer graduate and member of Delta Upsilon. Funeral Wednesday at 3 pm from the Wardell home with Masonic services at West Long Branch. Interment at West Long Branch.

Red Bank Man Held For Bigamy
Samuel Wainwright of Eatontown and Little Silver, living at Leighton avenue and River street in Red Bank, was arrested on a bigamy charge. He appeared before Justice James H. Sickles in Red Bank and was held for the Grand Jury, later sent to Freehold jail. He admitted having a wife at his first marriage to Jennie M. Egan. He claimed past non support led to a separation, then married his second wife on October 30 1916 at Little Silver. He had three children with his first wife and worked as a well digger.
