3rd Division Coming Back Next Month
The U S 3rd Division known as the Rock of the Marne will return to the United States in October, becoming the fifth American division to leave Korea this year with a sixth to follow. The division, which landed November 10, 1950, fought in major Korean fronts including the Imjin River battle in April 1951, and will be reduced to about 1,000 men for rotation home. Remaining units will join other forces in the Far East.
