Mine Blast Triggers Fire. No One Hurt Near Myton
A mine in Duchesne County Utah suffered a burst underground blast that started a fire but left about 25 workers unharmed as they had already left for the day. A veterinarian nearby heard muffled detonations as crews placed barricades around the site. An explosion at Bonanza Utah in November 1953 killed eight men.
