Model Airplane Aims for Catalina Crossing
The World record pursuit by Tom Dawson’s model radio plane seeks the longest water crossing from Point Fermin San Pedro to Catalina Island. Arthur Frost of Long Beach owns the craft with a 10 foot wingspan. A Sept 14 attempt from Long Beach may set a new endurance mark if the flight from California’s coast succeeds.
