Long Beach Water Use Record Set
Long Beach set a daily water usage record with 36,802,474 gallons as heat drove demand across the Southland. Officials reported near-record temperatures in Long Beach and Lakewood during Wednesday’s swelter, with Los Angeles reaching 109 degrees at noon and other cities hitting 102 to 112 degrees.
