Court OKs Seal Beach Game Vote
Superior Judge Raymond Thompson ruled that Seal Beach must hold the special election on the proposed gambling ban as scheduled. Robertson had sought to halt the vote claiming rushed procedure to keep his drawing poker initiative off the ballot. The decision notes the city council has not failed to act under election law, so the court will not intervene. The election coincides with a Metropolitan Water District ballot on the same day.
