New Unit Assigned to FHA Prosecutions
The Justice Department creates a new criminal division unit to handle mounting FHA scandal cases. Atty Gen Browner names Max H. Goldschein to lead the unit, with Nathaniel E. Kossack heading the team of about six specialists. The unit will absorb work from fraud, government operations, and common crimes sections and will pursue bribery and other misconduct in the federal housing program.
