Justice Warren told the American Law Institute that the Supreme Court expects to rule on racial segregation in public schools before adjournment for summer. He noted the May 17 1954 ruling already holds segregation unconstitutional and that a formal decree is being prepared to enforce it.
Arizona Governor Ernest W. McFarland said California's request for extradition of William G. Bonelli will be decided on its merits not on California papers. The 59 year old ex State Board of Equalization member faces extradition after a San Diego indictment. Bonelli’s attorney argued the charges lack specifics for extradition under Arizona law.
