Roll Probes Fatal Fall of Warner

Los Angeles district attorney S Ernest Roll has assigned Asst Chief Deputy Adolph Alexander to review claims that the death of auto parts heir Thomas W Warner may not have been accidental. Warner, 39, was found under a 16 foot embankment at his mother's Pasadena home with a broken neck. Police ruled it an accidental fall but his estranged wife Arina Lipton Warner asked for an investigation into possible foul play. The DA will decide if a formal inquiry is warranted.

They were convicted in Los Angeles in August 1952 of conspiracy to teach and advocate violent government overthrow, receiving five years in prison and a $10,000 fine each.
