Knight Urges Congress to Approve San Luis Project

California Senator Goodwin J. Knight urged immediate federal authorization for the 230 million dollar San Luis water project as part of a plan to integrate with state water efforts. He warned delay could threaten irrigation and desertification of the San Joaquin Valley and pressed for concurrent hearings on the proposal.
