SOMERSET Pa March 27 Eight persons six of them children died in a farmhouse blaze at Rockwood eight miles south of Somerset. Only Franklin Whipkey 10 escaped by leaping from a window. Neighbors said the fire began about 7 am in the three story home of Joan Whipkey. Firemen found four charred bodies from the ruins and the coroner reported only a smoldering shell remained.
