The Rev. Owen Berndith Geer was appointed assistant minister of First Methodist Church after five years at First Church in Fullerton. He holds a AB from the University of Denver and BD from Union Theological Seminary, with graduate work at Columbia and Chicago. He previously served in Denver Jersey City St. Louis and Chicago, later leading youth work in Chicago and pastoring in Dearborn and Los Angeles. He is married to Ruth Is. Chapman, and their children include Owen C. Geer of San Francisco State, Meridith Starvant of Fullerton, and Wesley Geer, now interning at Los Angeles General Hospital.

Grose Family to Study for High Degree in Boston
The Rev. and Mrs. George S. Grose of First Methodist Church will leave July 1 for Boston to study at Harvard Divinity School on leave of absence. He will pursue a Doctor’s degree and pastor a church in the Boston conference while there. Mrs Grose, a Wheelock College alumna, will complete her AB degree with a semester of work and has a scholarship. A farewell reception will follow Sunday morning services after he occupies the pulpit there.
