Holiday dinner costs ease for Fourth of July market
Associated Press reports a home cooked Fourth of July meal will cost considerably less than last year. Frying chickens drop about 9 cents a pound while eggs fall about 20 cents a dozen. Fresh fruits and vegetables including berries peaches and watermelons are abundant and priced lower. cabbage lettuce and beets top the market as standout vegetables with other produce in plentiful supply though not all pork cuts rise.
