Reds Demand Indians Keep War Prisoners
PANMUNJOM AP The Communists urged India to withdraw the plan to repatriate unrepatriated war prisoners beginning Wednesday and refused to accept 349 pro Red POWs. They want more time for interviews with 20,039 anti Communist Koreans and Chinese and insist prisoners stay in neutral custody until a peace conference decides their fate. India planned the transfer at 9 am Wednesday. Allies said they would be freed by midnight Friday. Pro Red FOWs including 21 Americans will remain in Indian custody at least temporarily. Indian chairman Lt Gen K S Thimayya said anti Red prisoners would move south from stockades in Korea as scheduled.

Greenstreet the Fat Man Dies After Illness in Hollywood
