Mrs T. 1 Spicer of 222 Grand Ave announces Elizabeth Ann Spicer will wed Gordon B Hedrick son of Mr and Mrs A H Hedrick of Los Angeles. They plan a summer wedding. Elizabeth Ann attended City College and earned a bachelor of arts degree at Monmouth College. Gordon B Hedrick graduated from USC and earned a master’s degree at Stanford where he is a research assistant in mathematics and a member of Sigma Xi.
Mrs Ivy Bradshaw and Mrs Lena Sloan of the Three Link Sewing Club of Delmar Rebekah Lodge will co host a Valentine luncheon at Machini Hall parlor Wednesday at noon assisted by Mrs Laura Collins and Mrs Catherine Weavehams. Members gather 10 a.m. to view the Odd Fellows Home.

City College social clubs begin spring rush with a tea next Wednesday at the serial room. Women’s clubs Tremendous, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Tammuz and TNT host formal rush teas on Tuesday Feb. 19 from 7 to 9 30 p m, with a final rush meeting Feb. 25 at a member’s home. Mrs Walter Gilkey leads arrangements.
February events highlight Valentine and patriotic motifs across clubs. The Gavinia Chapter DAR debuts a patriotic program at Municipal Art Center with Edison Lincoln and Washington films, while the Three Mighters Dance Club hosts a Valentine ball at Recreation Park Clubhouse with a 5 piece orchestra and Cupid theme. Other groups plan reciprocity luncheons and readings, as well as performances by The Roquettes and Romberg's Desert Song rehearsal.
The Delta Delta Delta Alliance will stage its annual guest Valentine luncheon and bridge party Thursday at 12 30 p.m. at the Assistante League clubhouse.
