Military men deny waste stories about coffee and oyster forks
AP dispatch from Washington reports Armed Forces spokesmen debunk absurd claims that the Air Force used 200 pounds of coffee as floor cleaner and that the Navy held surplus oyster forks. Officials testified the coffee charge lacked evidence and the Navy had purchased 10 000 dozen forks for officers messes in 1943.
