Foster mother Louella Earl cares for baby Joey at home
Mrs. Louella Earl, known as a soft touch for a baby kangaroo, fosters a joey after its mother abandoned it two months early at the Baltimore Zoo. She will feed the young kangaroo every two hours with cereal and vitamins, as she previously helped raise the first joey which later died from illness. A Zoo official notes the mother may lack milk or be distracted by the male kangaroo. Also reported, a chimney crashing bird deposits itself in Worcester Mass. home, opting to perch on a Christmas tree.
