Tanks and Planes Fight Rebels in Morocco Clash

French troops and Foreign Legionnaires used tanks and fighter planes against rebel bands in Morocco amid a bloody weekend of raids and guerrilla fighting. Typhoon Aims at Formosa As Tropical Storm Forms

Father saves five children from house fire

Thomas J Knowles and his wife and five children aged up to 13 escaped burns as a fire at their home destroyed the residence. He said an explosion woke them and he smashed a bedroom window to toss the children to his wife outside. Firemen attributed the blaze to a television set igniting a gasoline jug in the living room.

Missing 13 Year Old Girl Found Safe in Santa Monica Park

Police ended an all night search at 7 a m when a clothing bundle appeared to move and Sandra Jean Wylie 13 was found asleep in Palisades Park at Montana and Pecan Aves 21 blocks from her home. Her father Jean Wylie an aircraft engineer said she left home around noon Sunday to think by herself and wandered around.

Robber Flees in Half a Pair of Pants
