Washington August 19 AP President Truman may pause campaigning after Labor Day appearances with Adlai Stevenson. Stevenson’s strategy board delayed a Springfield Illinois meeting to decide how much campaigning Truman should do. If unchanged, Truman would focus on eastern industrial centers and possibly attend Hungry Horse Dam dedication in Montana early October. Stevenson and Truman's Labor Day talks on labor issues will be closely watched for Taft Hartley repeal or revision. Keir predicts Stevenson will frame farm policy while Hickenlooper endorses Eisenhower’s grasp of the farm problem.
