Blaze Burns Out of Control in California Valley
A wild brush fire in the San Antone Valley near Mt. Hamilton burned out of control, destroying several buildings at a Hindu retreat. Four State Forestry firefighters were burned, with two severely, as about 5300 acres burned across Santa Clara and Stanislaus counties. One fire truck was destroyed and eight others aided, with wind slowing but expected to rise again this afternoon.
