Defenders Schedule Emergency Trial Run
A make believe defense drill simulates casualties and a mobile first aid ward on June 13 at Birney school. Wilkins leads parts of the exercise with Dr. Wilbur Thompson coordinating medical oversight. The Birney station, part of the city health department civil defense, lists 65 personnel and 5,000 families served, with 49 hours of emergency supplies and 600 casualties capacity, plus 48 hours of optical radio comms and water provisions.
