Lakewood C of C poll backs anti status change policy
Lakewood Chamber of Commerce board received overwhelming support in a member poll, with 150 in favor and 4 against, reaffirming efforts to resist any move to change Lakewood’s incorporated status. The vote occurred during a Lakewood Country Club meeting where bylaws were amended to expand the board from nine to 18 and to form a committee to study dues. The committee will advise on member assessments while the policy also calls for pursuing an independent Lakewood post office.
