Reds Give Greece 5th Column Aims in Repatriation
Salonika dispatch notes Greek officials fear a future communist core among repatriates from the Soviet bloc. About 35,000 to 50,000 Greeks, many youths, were held in cities for indoctrination. Some 3,700 have begun returning, seeking work in cities, not farms, while authorities warn of potential guerrilla revival and counter infiltrations along northern borders.
