State conducts civil defense test with California workers
California and other states plan an April 27 field exercise at a Nevada site to study blast effects. The program involves state agencies, utilities, and private firms delivering equipment and personnel to simulate a nuclear test. Observers include OCD officials, Menlo Park Mayor Burgess, and county supervisors from Sonoma and other counties.
