Testifies in 650000 suit over railroad yard incident
Special agent John S. Nevins of Union Pacific testified in Superior Court that he did not pursue Rickey Haremiond and his brother near 80 ore cars in a West Long Beach freight yard. Nevins said his duty was to catch juveniles in the act of theft or damage, not chase them away, and he watched from a caboose as the incident led to Rickey losing two legs and an arm after being run over by a train.
