Teen-Age Marine Admits 5 Murders in 4 Days
A handsome 18 year old Marine, Fred E. McManus, confessed to slayings in Illinois Minnesota Iowa and New York over four days, saying he did it for love and money. The suspect, from Valley Stream New York, said the total haul was 57 dollars plus 8 from an abduction. A 16 year old girl, Diane Weggeland, from Rochester suburb Summerville, remained in custody. The father planned to travel as authorities pursued further details.

President Eisenhower Taber discuss cost cuts in Washington
