Let's Get it Together women workshop in Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara County Commission on the Status of Women hosts a Saturday workshop from 9 30 a m to 4 p m at the Educational Service Center auditorium 4400 Cathedral Oaks Rd Santa Barbara. Top of the World Roundup Aims 225 Scouts in Del Rio District

Seward Heckaman district commissioner of the Del Rio District, Boy Scouts of America, reports 225 area boys are expected to join this fall's Top of the World roundup. The campaign runs through December with Cub Scout Pinewood Derby kits for school night joins. Eligible boys age eight to ten are invited to participate and attend special Del Rio District activities, with a Mission Council first nighter at Rancho Alegre December 7-8 for older scouts.

Lompoc Chamber Women’s Division installs new officers

The Lompoc Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division will install officers at a Royal Coach Restaurant banquet led by installing officer Robert Lewis. Norma Stillman will become president, succeeding Ruth Clark, with Shirley Lilley as vice president Florence Holley treasurer and Louisa Van Ansdal secretary. Frank Kenton will give the main address.
