Casa Floral Struggles To Survive In County Program

Casa Floral a county probation run center for 10 to 20 youths ages 13 to 18 fights for existence in a converted Maple High School building on Floradale Avenue. Staff includes director Larry Coy and several probation officers with free rent from the school district. The facility seeks basic supplies such as a refrigerator, pool table, sewing machine, cooking utensils, furniture and more while offering schooling and counseling to at risk youths who otherwise face possible detention.
