Spinning wheels set for museum display

The Lompoc Museum opens a homespun exhibit on spinning wheels starting Saturday September 26 with at least six wheels and accessories on loan. Demonstrations by curator Mrs John McKenzie run 1 to 4 p.m. weekends through November 1 in the museum basement, showcasing Swiss and Early American wheels and related tools, plus a Navajo rug and wool textiles. Teachers Accept Salary Package After Dispute Over 1969 Plan

Three men face charges in Santa Maria shooting

Three men from Casmalia and Santa Maria await a preliminary hearing October 2 in Santa Maria Municipal Court on charges of attempted murder and related offenses. Directors delay Lompoc Hospital expansion plan
