Lompoc Council to Bid on 70000 In Vehicles and Equipment
The Lompoc City Council voted to seek bids for about 70000 in vehicles including six 1973 police cars costing 27000 and a 19000 street sweeper. A $23000 rear loading garbage truck was removed for side loading study. The list also covers a flatbed dump truck water service truck a 12 passenger van a half ton pickup a four door sedan included with police car total and a police car radio. The council also commended the Lompoc Ponytail softball all stars for a state title and approved rezoning on Ocean Avenue. They lifted the hiring and capital expenditure moratorium with council approval required.
