Training session set for 4-H leaders at UCSB

Santa Barbara County 4-H officers and junior leaders from 18 clubs will meet at UC Santa Barbara for leadership training. 1969 All Stars Nancy Donovan Betty Ann Cavalletto Robert Catherina and Richard Barca coordinate with delegates from the State Leadership Conference. Sessions include parliamentary procedure and officer training led by multiple 4-H leaders. Open to 4-H leaders and interested parents.

Local students named National Merit semifinalists

Two Lompoc High School students David O. Ross and Norman Westbtorn were semifinalists in the 1969 70 National Merit Scholarship competition. They are among 15 000 top seniors nationwide and must win school endorsements and pass a second test to become finalists.
