Durkin accused Wyman of Watergate style tactics with a letter about gun confiscation while Wyman charged Durkin with flip flopping on gun policy. Ford and Reagan campaigned for Wyman but Durkin dismissed the visits as inconsequential to NH’s 447000 voters.
