Revson Leads CanAm Title Charge With Brainerd Win

Peter Revson of New York swept to victory in the 210 mile Downbrooke Can-Am at Brainerd Minnesota averaging over 119 mph. He earned 17,450 dollars and moved to 107 points in the 10 race series after beating teammate Dennis Hulme by 47 seconds. Hulme trails with 70 points as three races remain. Al Unser won the Governor's Cup at West Allis in a 1971 Ford Torino, passing Bobby Unser who ran out of gas in a Plymouth road runner.

Hank Aaron says his plan to retire after two more years will not be affected by his chase of Babe Ruth's home run record.
