Pine Trails and Hidden Columns at La Purisima Park
A feature on La Purisima Mission State Historic Park details its 967 acres of chaparral trails, reservoirs, and a pine grove with eight coastal varieties. Notable sights include a solitary standing stone column, Huerta Matoes Trail mysteries, and the El Camino Real running through the center. Deer, foxes, and other wildlife share the area, while two man-made fires marred parts of the landscape.
