Indianap olis. Richard Tharp a Texan pro dragster won 21000 as top finish er of a six day national drag racing meet. Dallas native grabbed top fuel eliminator honors after finals rival John Wiebe was disqualified for fouling at the start. Tharp ran 240 mph. Gary Beck of Canada exited semifinals due to mechanical failure.
