Arctic Weather Research Program Opens At UW
The U S government funds a Arctic research program at the University of Washington with 229439 dollars for its first year. Dr Stanley Murphy leads the effort focusing on unmanned submersibles for under ice work and hovercraft use over ice. Researchers Ganzer Wagners Blood and others coordinate engineering and science teams to define mission specs and propose solutions for under ice and over ice missions.
