Pesticide Safety Rules Issued by County Health Officer

County health officer Dr. Joseph T. Nardo outlines 17 safety practices for pesticide handling including storage away from food, use of original containers, protective clothing, avoiding inhalation and skin contact, proper disposal, and limiting application amounts. Youngest SAC launch director L Hoffmans tops Minuteman II team

First Lieutenant L Hoffman, 27, of the 394th Strategic Missile Squadron, becomes SAC’s youngest launch director for a Minuteman II ICBM and the first officer of his rank to hold the post. He led a combat crew launch from Grand Forks North Dakota with the 3211th Strategic Missile Wing. Hoffman, a native of Wichita Falls Texas and Evangel College graduate, has served as talker and test conductor on the Minuteman II test team.

Respected journalist Pearson dies at 71 in Maryland
