Ladies Night Acts Highlight Central Coast APWA Chapter
The Central Coast Chapter of the American Public Works Association hosted Ladies Night at the Santa Maria Club on October 17. Officers nominated for 1971 were elected unanimously: Harold L. Purdy as President, Ward Phelps as First VP, Ken Dawson as Second VP, William F. Martins as Secretary, and Philip S. Watkins as Treasurer. Hoyle received a Past President plaque, Storey Gange spoke on youth and the future, and Connie Carmen announced her engagement to Thomas Edward Hopkins. Lt. Robert W. Biles reported to Brooke Army Medical Center for training before assignment at Fort Sam Houston.
