Women of the Moose Plan Annual Family Bazaar and Dinner

The Women of the Moose book an October family bazaar at Moose Home 921 W Laurel Ave from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items for sale include baked goods crafts aprons books and white elephant items with games for children and hot meals. An evening ham and yam dinner follows from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations 150 adults 75 for under 12 and free for under 8. The next day a pancake breakfast and children's party run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a 125 donation.

Barbara Giles a Cadette Girl Scout from Ventura County will join cadettes and seniors for a Nov 26 to Dec 16 trip to Cuernavaca Mexico and Guadalajara Mexico City and Our Cabana with fund raising events to offset travel costs. Local shoppers will support via a mall leak goods sale on Oct 26 at Lompoc Shopping Center.

Golden wedding toast for W.O. and Lula House in McAlester area

Officials and family mark the 50th anniversary of Lula Reed and W.O. House with greetings from Speaker Carl Albert and Governor Ronald Reagan. The couple, married Oct. 5 1924 in Oklahoma, moved to Lompoc in 1956 and have ten children, 29 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. An anniversary celebration in Lompoc draws about 150 guests with notes of church life, carpeting gifts, and a tiered cake.

A garden wedding at the home of her parents united Miss Teresa Reese and Morris on Oct. 5. Officiating was Rev. Harold Drain. The couple’s families include George and Mrs Line of Cheyenne and Clarence Morris and Mrs. Morris of Locust Ave. The bride wore silk organza over taffeta with Venise lace daisies and a chapel train. Guests included out of town relatives from Santa Barbara and Palo Alto. The bride is East High School Cheyenne graduate. the groom is a 1973 Lompoc High School graduate in the Air Force at F.E. Warren AFB Cheyenne.

Apple sales aid fundraising for Cabrillo Congs Hawaiian trip
