NDGW Luncheon Benefit For Children's Foundation Planned

Native Daughters of the Golden West sponsor a Saturday noon luncheon at Lions Inn to benefit the Children's Foundation, with a $3.75 donation. Nine local parlors from the tri county area organize the event themed Joys of Childhood, featuring speakers, performances, and city greetings prior to pledges.

Speakers announced for youth forum at Lompoc High

Four speakers join the November 19 youth forum at Lompoc Senior High Little Theater. Richard Humble will address school pressures, Richard Harris discusses death by own action, Eileen Dunn covers venereal disease and pregnancy, and Jack Hanstein speaks on drugs. The event, chaired by Mrs. Stephen Krozer, aims to help parents navigate teen issues with audience questions to follow. Linda L. Fisher, a Mercy College nursing graduate and hospital ER supervisor, is noted as a new local profile.

LDS Bazaar Draws Community With Dinner and Booths

The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints hosts a Friday bazaar from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1312 W Prune Ave featuring a roast beef dinner and booths selling Christmas ornaments, baby items, kitchenware, toys, teens items, and more. Special fish pond and cartoon movies entertain children while mothers browse. Coordinating committee includes Gaylen Jackson as general chair, Henderson as president, Bickmore as second Councilor, Lane Austin as secretary, with Gerry D. Lewis directing work.

Top state 4 H awards go to County members

Five Santa Barbara County 4 H Club members were named 1969 State Award winners. Miss Sandee McLaughlin of Santa Ynez will attend the National 4 H Club Congress in Chicago. Betty Ann Cavalletto of Goleta is state winner in clothing and also attends Congress. Alternates include Mary Rivaldi, Kathie Beck, and Kathy Hughes.

Auction Supports Lompoc Valley Girls Club Benefit

The Trans-Atlantic Brides and Parents Association held a white elephant auction at St. Marys Episcopal Church Hall. Auctioneer Mrs Lawrence Le May oversaw the event with about $40 proceeds to benefit the Lompoc Valley Girls Club. Hostesses included Mrs John Trosper Mrs Stephen Bulissa Mrs Dallas White and Mrs Jay Rupe. Guest was Mrs Ronald Van Kampen of Lompoc.

Columbus Day Hailed by Lompoc Sons of Italy Dinner

The Lompoc Order of the Sons of Italy in America celebrated Columbus Day with a Grange Hall dinner presided by Les ter Bonchetti. Guests enjoyed beer barbecue, piano by Cesarina Loutalot and Etel vina Signorelli, and community singing. a 25 year pin was given to Rose Guerra, a scholarship to Elena Albertoni of Guadalupe, and new members inducted including Gail Agnelli and Adam Signorelli.

Grange Ladies Plan Harvest Dinner at Monthly Meeting

Grange Ladies will hold their monthly meeting tomorrow at 1 30 p m at Mrs Fredrick Starbuck 2990 Chandler Drive Mesa Oaks.
