Supervisors reject Macco conditions on Hollister Ranch plan

The Board of Supervisors backed the county planning director and rejected Planning Commission recommendations in imposing strict conditions on the Macco Corp recreational commercial development west of Gaviota. A 4-1 vote rezoned 2,400 acres of the old Hollister Ranch. Vandenberg Procurement Office awarded two large contracts totaling nearly 800000 dollars. ABC Food Service Inc of El Paso Texas named low bidder for a year’s prep of Vandenberg military dining facilities. The contract runs to Sept 30 1971 and totals 627480 dollars. Green Valley Landscaping Inc of San Jose awarded a ground maintenance contract worth 160987 dollars through Aug 31 1971. Four bids were received from 39 requested.
