Fire station bids exceed forecasts in Santa Barbara

Bids for a new Santa Barbara Fire Station at 118 Sons St run about 20 percent over the $350000 estimate with Don Greene Contractors Inc submitting the low bid at 423750 and J W Bailey Co close behind at 426000. Shuttle Enterprise completes key test flight at Edwards Air Force Base
