Senate approves language bill to educate limited English students

California Aqueduct leak floods near Lancaster
A five day old California Aqueduct segment ruptured Tuesday night near 150th Street West to 60th Street West, sending a seven mile river of water toward Lancaster. Deputies reported six inches depth at the far end with no major damage as CHP closed several east west streets and officials shut the pumping plant to stop flow.

Supervisors honor firefighters for local blaze relief
