Police Car With Siren Hits Small Auto in Lompoc

A patrol car with lights and siren struck a Western small car at H Street and Walnut Avenue injuring 22 year old Mary Jane Sulcides. The driver, Patrolman Bruce Jackson, was uninjured. Both vehicles suffered major damage and investigation followed by CHP.

80 000 Soft Coal Miners Walk Out Over Contract

About 80 000 miners across major coal states abstained from work in protest as the old contract expired at midnight.
