Rock and freshwater fishing updates from coastal ports

Last week rock fishing yielded several salmon before the season’s end with one 40 pounder on a Morro Bay party boat. Port San Luis anglers also reported salmon, while bottom fishing produced a 32 pound catch on a beat up bait. Freshwater notes: Lake Nacimiento turnover cools surface and fires a fishing slump until fish feed heavily again. Lake Margarita shows crappie and black bass.
