Shooting accident leaves Huffman in good condition
The Fontana man Moses Huffman twenty four was wounded in the back by a .22 during a ground squirrel hunt at Sudden Ranch. Deputies say the shooting was accidental and he was moved to Lompoc Hospital in good condition after initially being listed as critical.

The annual Lompoc Children's Christmas Parade crowned winners across many classes. Judges Jack Meyer, Charlotte Benton and E C Stevens named top marching bands, color guards, floats, decorated cars, walking costumes, groups and equestrian acts with VAFB Vanguards chosen best marching group and Cub Pack No. 103 leading scout divisions. The four day holiday toll counted 595 traffic deaths nationwide, 63 in California, against last year’s 651.

Born 1913 in Caney Kansas, he lived in Lompoc 21 years and leaves Thelma and 24 foster children. Dorothy Lucile Williams, also born 1913, dies at Lompoc Community Hospital and is to be interred at Evergreen Cemetery after a 10 a.m. Tuesday service conducted by Reverend Montgomery. She resided at 1032 North Lupine, Lompoc, and is survived by husband Robert, son Victor in Caliente Nevada, daughter Evelyn Dahlgren of Costa Mesa, plus two sisters and a brother.
