San Francisco Woman Dies After Weekend Highway Crash
A San Francisco woman Gloria Rodriguez, 54, died after her car rolled over on Highway 101 near Highway 154 Saturday morning. Two passengers, Carol Rodriguez 20 and Annette Martinez 19, were severely injured and all were taken to Santa Ynez Valley Hospital. Rodriguez was transferred to Santa Barbara Hospital where she died.

Allan Hancock College students organized the Vietnam Book Drive and collected hundreds of books for U S troops in Vietnam. Paul Thomas the student commissioner of community relations called the effort a great success with overwhelming student and community response. Books will be packaged and shipped to the war zone in time for Christmas.
